I have to admit, it has took me close to 12 months to read this book from cover to cover (I had the pre-release edition from O’Reilly which is why I could start reading it before the publication date). This is not because the book is hard to read or boring in any way. This is a really interesting book to read and the times I have picked it up to read I have found it hard to put down. The reason for it taking so long is that when I am not travelling I find it hard to find the time to sit and read.

This book is very detailed in all the elements of software requirements from requirements gathering right through to change management. I found the sections to be really useful and have used quite a few of the techniques from the book already in my job.

The accompanying templates and documents that are provided with the book have been really helpful and concise and have been used to update my own templates that I use on projects.

The book has really great advise and methods which have enabled me to elicit better software requirements. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has to elicit requirements, manage change control or indeed is someone that will be providing requirements for a project.
